EMPOWERING & INSPIRING LATINA FILMMAKERS

What a great honor it was to have this conversation of great importance right now. We face so many hills to overcome. It is always nice to stop along the way to celebrate the successes the accomplishments!

The Latina Independent Film Extravaganza – L.I.F.E. - celebrates Latina directors and their contributions to cinema. The festival, taking place March 18 – 20, 2022, is a showcase and networking event to create a community that supports and helps connect Latina filmmakers, inspiring them to continue to make authentic Latina stories and most importantly, to get hired. Join festival director Iris Almaraz, an award-winning filmmaker with unabashed embrace of urban feminine sexuality from a working-class woman of color’s perspective and festival programmer / producer Fanny Grande, Venezuelan-American award-winning filmmaker, actor, and co-founder of Avenida Media Group, a production and consulting company committed to empowering independent filmmakers. https://www.lifefilmfest.org/
